Our Vision for PE:
'To foster a love of learning through enthusiastic participation in a safe environment, so that we are all confident, active and healthy.'
'Every athlete exercises self control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we are an imperishable'.
At Balderstone St Leonards, we value the importance of PE and the need to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
We encourage all children to participate in as many activities as possible and aim to provide the opportunity to represent our school at least once during their time with us.

PE and Sports Premium Funding
As Part of the 2012 Olympic Legacy, the government Departments for Education, Health and Culture and Media & Sport currently provide Schools with the 'PE and sport premium funding' based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6. Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive £16,000 and an additional payment of £10 per pupil. We are anticipating Balderstone St Leonard's will receive therefore approximately £16,860 in 2022/23
Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer
