Impact and Achievements
- We maintain or PLATINUM Sportsmark award for our sports provision.
- We won GOLD medals in the Glow Dodgeball events with both our Y3/4 and Y5/6 teams.
- 2 of our Year 6 children qualified for the county Cross Country Finals
- We represented Ribble Valley in the Lancashire School Games Flag Football event.
- 100% of our Y5 and Y6 children were given the opportunity to represent school this year on at least 2 occasions;
- 100% of KS2 children represented school at events this year
- 100% of our KS1 pupils represented school during this academic year.
- We competed in football, netball, athletics, cross country, swimming, dodgeball, cricket, dance and gymnastics events.
- This year, we provided many extra-curricular clubs: girls' football, boys' football, cricket, sportshall athletics, athletics, dodgeball, tennis, rugby, trigolf, dance, Kurling, netball, Fundamental movements skills, Change for Life and hockey.
SWIMMING
Children attend an intensive 2 week swimming course in Year 3 and 4, swimming for an hour every day. Some children attend a further 2 week intensive course when they are in Year 5 and again in Year 6 if they have not met the required standard, but this is funded through the school's funds for swimming.
