This week has been Online Safety week in school. The children have amazed us with the range of things they do online. It seems even our youngest children often watch videos on YouTube. This did worry us as YouTube videos are not always appropriate and the children are only one click away from seeing something that could frighten or upset them. Please talk to the children about safe use of the internet and make sure you know what they are able to access at home. Every class has had at least half a day of activities related to Online Safety. Year 5 and 6 were very creative and came up with a PowerPoint presentation, a short play and even a rap to get their online safety messages across!!
This week in school has also been Assessment Week, all the children have completed their half termly assessments in Maths and Reading.
Year 3 and 4 had their last swimming session of this school year, all of them have enjoyed going swimming and we are especially proud of those children who have learnt to swim for the first time. That first 5 meters is always the hardest to achieve!
Today we have Celebration Worship at 2.30pm, I wonder who this half term's stars will be? If a child gets a star badge , they should be very proud as it means that they have been spotted doing something fantastic throughout the half term.
I hope everyone has a lovely half term and comes back to school safely on the 20th February.
