Rabbits (Reception)

 

Welcome to the Rabbits Class!

The Rabbits class is made up of 15 Reception children,

aged between 4 and 5 years old.  

 

Children are taught within the Early Years Foundation Stage through a play based curriculum where they are able to participate in leading their own learning through their interests with the support of our stimulating environment and skilled practitioners enabling,

Academic Year 2016 - 2017

Yearly Overview

Although learning is directed by the children, topics are planned across the six half terms to stimulate children and their interests.  Please find the yearly overview of topics we will cover this year.  These may change depending on the direction learning takes us and we will update the website accordingly.

Summer 2
Rehearsals in full swing for the talent show. The children decided if they wanted to perform a solo, duet or group act. 
Reception children enjoyed their grown ups joining them for lunch.  Thanks for coming I'm if you could make it. Don't worry if you couldn't make it, the other children enjoyed a delicious lunch too! 
We cannot express how grateful we are to all the children and families who donated food and drink for our Eid Party. The children (and adults!) enjoyed the party. There was lots of delicious food, treats, dancing and henna.  Thank you!
Graduation 2017 - thank you Reception for a fantastic year!
Thank you to Kash and Charles who have been our first two visitors during our Multi Faith week.  Kash talked to the children about Sikhism. They learnt about the Gurus and took part in some bangra dancing. Charles talked to the children about Judaism. We learnt a Jewish song and Shared a traditional Jewish meal. 
More P.E. fun! Rolling, balancing, climbing and travelling. 
The children have been doing some great doubling work in the continuous provision in maths. They have also been testing different surfaces and gradients that could affect their vehicle travelling fast/slow. 
P.E. has been fun!
