Foxes (Year 3 & 4)

Welcome back!  We're very excited to share our learning journey with our new Year 3 and 4 class!

We're going to begin the year reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl.  What's your favourite Roald Dahl book?  Ask your family, everyone has a favourite!

The chocolate theme will continue in science with our work on solids, liquids and gases, and in art as we begin by looking at chocolate wrappers and designing our own.

In history, we'll be exploring the changes that happened in Lancashire during the Industrial Revolution and our art will continue with a focus on the painter Lowry.

In RE, we'll be looking at celebrations of harvest and the role of a faith leader.

We'll be having P.E. on Wednesday and Thursday each week so come in your PE kit on those days.

Find out about what's planned for the year ahead on the "This Year's Learning" page. The link can be found on the menu on the right.

Throughout the term, we'd like to spend as much time as possible outside, so make sure you've always got a waterproof coat and your wellies in school!

Mrs Riddell will be teaching in Foxes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Mrs Simm will be teaching on Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday mornings we will be alternating.  Mrs Patel, Mrs Lorgat and Mrs Draycott will all be part of Team Fox!

Mrs Riddell, Mrs Simm and all of Team Fox are looking forward to enjoying this exciting term with you!
