Foxes (Year 3 & 4)

Welcome back to our Summer term!

We're off to the world of rainforests this term!  In English, we'll be enjoying "The Kapok Tree" by Lynne Cherry and looking at the problems rainforests face.  In geography, we'll find out more about South America, especially focusing on the rainforest and the people, plants and animals that live there.

In science, we'll find out about different habitats and the animals and plants that live there, both here in Balderstone and further afield.

In RE, we'll be looking at the features of a mosque and what prayer means to people of different faiths.

We'll be exploring the art of Henri Rousseau and the painting "Surprised!" as well as sampling, designing and making healthy pizzas in DT.

We're also looking forward to Sports Day and the School Summer Show as well as lots of sunshine, we hope!

Throughout the term, we'd like to spend as much time as possible outside, so make sure you've always got a coat and your wellies in school!

As usual, Mrs Riddell will be teaching in Foxes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and Mrs Cast will be teaching on Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday mornings we will be alternating.

Mrs Riddell, Mrs Cast and all of Team Fox are looking forward to enjoying this exciting term with you!
